Every year the entire school (P3-12th grades) gathers in the Blakey Resource Center to celebrate Maumee Valley during their Thanksgiving celebration. Alumni from all over join us in singing songs and reunite with friends and family. During this past Thanksgiving celebration the "Under One Roof" campaign was unveiled before our special crowd to share with them the future plans for the Upper School. "Oooo"s and "Aaaah"s were heard throughout the room during the video presentation (shown above) that began with a 124 second countdown representing the 124 years of Maumee Valley history.  Executive chair of the campaign, Dean Kasperzak '76, along with co-chairs, Fred and Linda Diechert, shared campaign details and introduced the committee and team of people working to make the "Under One Roof" campaign a success.

Following the "Under One Roof" announcement, students, faculty, staff, alumni, friends and family joined in singing familiar, traditional MV songs. The Thanksgiving celebration ended with the alumni and Upper School students creating a "Human Roof" that the younger children ran through upon dismissal, a wonderful conclusion to a special celebration which signifies the future and brings the energies of the entire campus together "Under One Roof."

The $15 million project is to include a new Upper School as well as renovations to the historic Smead building combining the entire school - preschool to 12th grade - "Under One Roof." The physical symbol of Maumee Valley's commitment to the emerging needs of today - and generations to come - is a project that combines new structures with renovations of current facilities. In these proposed spaces, we can finally bring the energies of the entire campus together to connect with the world "Under One Roof".To learn more about this exciting plan for MV's future please click here.
