SCRIP Program – Earn Tuition Dollars With The Money You Already Spend!
Major national and regional retailers have agreed to sell their gift cards/certificates to schools at a discount. For example, the discount for Speedway Gas Station Gift Cards is 4% (subject to change). These cards are purchased through the Maumee Valley SCRIP website http://www.mvcds.4scrip.com/catalog/ at FULL price. A $100 Gift Card would cost $100 via the website. The Maumee Valley Parent Association then takes the $4 discount (4%) and applies most of the discount to specific student accounts or the annual fund. The Parent Association does keep 10% to cover the cost of shipping and supplies. The discounts are distributed to student accounts and the annual fund each October, February and May. Each individual purchasing the gift cards/certificates has their own user account (you ask as many of your family and friends to sign up as you would like!). Each user account asks the name of the student to receive the SCRIP credit.
Take Charge of Education Target Program
You can sign up for the Take Charge of Education program by going to www.target.com/tcoe, visiting the in-store kiosk, or by calling 1-800-316-6142. Designate an eligible K-12 school, and Target will donate an amount equal to one percent (1%) of your Target Visa, Target Card or Target Business Card purchases (minus returns and sales tax) at any Target store and Target.com, and one-half percent (1/2%) of your Target Visa purchases (not including cash advances, balance transfers, and purchases of other cash equivalents, and minus returns and sales tax) everywhere else Visa credit cards are accepted. Target will track purchases charged to participating accounts and will distribute the accumulated donations to schools in March and September. Our MVCDS I.D. number is 14304. Proceeds from this fundraiser help our Parent Association donate fabulous items to the school!
Great American & Kathryn Beich
The MV Parent Association’s annual fundraiser on behalf of the school is the sale of Great American/Kathryn Beich gift wrap, creative children’s products, exclusive kitchen items, premium candles, candy, specialty baking mixes, and more. Fifty percent of each purchase from the Kathryn Beich catalog orders and 40 percent from online personalized items comes right back to MVCDS to support important school programs and services.
