  • Maumee Valley Country Day School, established in Toledo, Ohio, in 1884, is the only independent school (PK-12) in Northwest Ohio.
  • School population of nearly 500 students (200 in grades 9 - 12).
  • Student to teacher ratio averages 10:1  - lowest in the region.
  • 53 outstanding teachers with a commitment to  interactive and individualized learning. 
  • 68% teachers hold master's degrees and 2 have earned a Ph.D.
  • A commitment to cultural and religious diversity.  The student body represents several different religious and 15 different cultural backgrounds.

  • All Upper School students participate in Winterim, the school's signature program. Students participate in an array of on-campus courses, language and culture-oriented travel, independent study, experience through a network of cooperative school or internships throughout the country.

  • Maumee Valley graduates are currently attending 6 of the Top 10 Liberal Arts Colleges.
  • Maumee Valley graduates are currently attending 7 of the Top 15 National Universities.
  • 20% of seniors received National Merit recognition (finalist, semifinalist or commended)—the highest percentage in the region.
  • 25% of students are AP scholars  (score 3 or higher on at least 3 AP exams).
  • The average ACT score is 29 (on a 36 scale) tops in the region.  The average score nationwide is 21.
  • The average SAT score is 1239 (on a 1600 scale). The average Ohio score is 1079 and the national score is 1021.
  • 14 Toledo Youth Orchestra participants

  • Finished in the Elite Eight in High School Girl's Field Hockey State tournament
  • Senior MVCDS golfer finished third in state tournament receiving All State recognition
