SummerTime at Maumee Valley
2014 SummerTime classes and camps begin June 16 and continue through July 25. We are closed June 30-July 4.

Class sizes are limited and applications are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.

SummerTime
welcomes students and instructors from throughout the area to come together and
discover just how good a school can be. Our program is designed to complement each family’s summer schedule and
children’s interests by allowing you to enroll for any week(s) you choose and for half-day and full-day options.
  • HOBBIT CAMP: Full day and half day options available for ages 4 (by Sept.) and 5 years old.
  • SPECIALTY MORNING AND FULL-DAY CLASSES: Specialty classes in Academics, Athletics, and The Arts (performing and visual) for students entering first grade through high school. Morning classes run from 9 AM-12 PM, full-day classes run from 9 AM-3:30 PM.
  • AFTERNOON STEAM HOB HAVEN: STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math) camp for entering grades 1 - 8. Afternoon STEAM Hob Haven runs from 12:30 PM-3:30 PM.
Combining a morning class and Afternoon Hob Haven will give you a full-day discount.
DAILY SCHEDULE (for each week)
7:30 am - 9:00 am Before Camp Care
9:00 am - 12:00 pm Morning Classes or Hobbit Morning Session
12:00 pm - 12:30 pm Lunch Supervision (packed lunch required)
12:30 pm - 3:30 pm Afternoon Hob Haven or Hobbit Afternoon Session
3:30 pm - 5:30 pm After Camp Care

SUMMERTIME WEEKLY FEES
Full day with morning class and Afternoon STEAM Hob Haven
(Grades 1-8)
$228 + Morning Class materials fee (if applicable-see class description)
Includes Before Camp Care, choice of Morning Class, Lunch Supervision, Afternoon Hob Haven, and After Camp Care
OR
Full-Day Specialty Class (Grades 1-8, individually priced)
Includes Before Camp Care, class, Lunch Supervision, and After Camp Care

Half-day Options

$120 + materials fee (if applicable-see class description): Morning Class for preschool through high school (includes Before Camp Care)
$120: Afternoon STEAM Hob Haven for entering grades 1-8 (includes After Camp Care)

Hobbit Camp:
Ages 4 (by Sept.) and 5 years old
Full-day
$195: Includes Before Camp Care, Morning Hobbit Camp, Lunch Supervision, Afternoon Hobbit Camp, and After Camp Care
Half-day options

$110: Morning session (includes Before Camp Care)
$95: Afternoon session (includes After Camp Care)

Lunch Supervision
: Preschool through Grade 8 (12:00 pm - 12:30 pm)
$50: The lunch supervision includes time to eat lunch brought from home with a beverage (refrigeration is provided) and to have time for socializing, games, arts and crafts, and free time on the playground.

Middle School and High School classes
(entering grades 7-12) Classes are individually priced.

SUMMERTIME T-SHIRTS
Available in youth and adult sizes with the SummerTime logo for $13. Deadline for ordering t-shirts is May 28, 2014.

REGISTRATION FEES
All registration fees are due in full the Wednesday before the first day of class or your spot is not guaranteed.
This includes your application and the total cost of each program and all supply fees.
A 25% deposit is required upon registration and is non-refundable. No classes will be prorated.

Payment is accepted by check, MasterCard, VISA, American Express, Discover, or a money order made payable to Maumee Valley Country Day School. Cash will also be accepted in the Lower School office.

CONFIRMATION
A confirmation notice is sent upon receipt of a completed application and payment.
Your confirmation will contain information regarding check-in procedures.

CANCELLATION POLICY
You may cancel up to one week prior to the first day of a class or camp and will receive a full refund minus the 25% non-refundable deposit. Cancellation within one week before the first day of a class or camp may result in no refund due to teachers' preparations based on expected enrollment. All classes and camps are subject to cancellation due to insufficient enrollment. If this should occur, you will be notified and a full refund given.
