The Buddy Family program is the name of a Maumee Valley Parent Association project to welcome new families to the MV school community.

Current MV families volunteer beginning in May and on through the summer to make an early contact with families soon after they enroll. Buddy families may answer questions about summer reading, sports, social life--any subject is fair game. They know about school traditions and practical matters such as medical forms, carpools and summer reading assignments.

Families with younger students may want to set up a play date or lunch. Older students may want to get together at the Summer Family Picnic and then through advisee group, but parents appreciate a phone call.

This is a very valuable MVPA service to the school as new families transition from admission to their school division. If you are interested in participating or being a Buddy Family please contact Vicki Koelsch, Director of Admission, 419-381-1313.
