Tickets are available at the door, Student tickets are $5.00, Adult tickets are $8.00. The box office opens 1 hour before curtain and the house opens 1 half hour before curtain.

This fast-paced comedy follows the adventures of Charlie, an antisocial English proofreader, played by Finn Bamber ‘18, who finds himself in the American South of the 1980’s. His Army buddy, “Froggy LeSeur”, Shreyas Banerjee ’19, treats him to a Bed and Breakfast vacation deep in the Georgia hills. Terrified by the prospect of being alone among strangers, Charlie agrees to Froggy’s plan to protect his privacy by telling the residents that Charlie doesn’t speak or understand a word of English. Of course the plan backfires and Charlie becomes the keeper of everyone’s secrets and the center of attention. The owner of the bed and breakfast, Betty Meeks, Kimmy Goewey ‘18, is fascinated by her exotic guest. Ellard Simms, Wyatt Reynolds ‘18, becomes Charlie’s english tutor. Catherine Simms, Ellie Griffith ‘19, confides her secret fears about her upcoming wedding to Charlie because he “listens so well but he doesn’t understand a word she says.” Charlie begins to suspect that the young preacher, Rev. David Lee, Alex Evans ‘18, intentions are not as pure as they appear. The Reverend’s friend Owen Musser, Rowan Kerr ‘19, has a mean streak a mile wide and a deep mistrust of anything foreign, especially, Charlie. Watch as the shy “foreigner” thwarts Owen’s plans, saves the day, the cabin, and finds a new life in the hills of Georgia.

The New York Times calls The Foreigner “a sentimental, often hilarious farce, full of loopy jokes with a gentle lesson about tolerance and friendship slipped in unobtrusively.”

The Millenium Theater is located on the campus of Maumee Valley Country Day School, 1715 S Reynolds Rd, Toledo, Oh, 43614.
