Congratulations to Junior Achievement Business Challenge Winners

Congratulations Aidan Reddy, Thomas Cunliffe, and Rick Kaser, who each won a $750 scholarship to the college of their choice for their efforts in The Junior Achievement Business Challenge. This is a strategy tournament using the JA Titan program and is uniquely designed to unleash student creativity, test leadership skills, and demonstrate the competitive nature of the free enterprise system.
The JA Titan Challenge is a one day business simulation where teams from 24 area high schools strategize to operate successfully and perform the duties of a management team. Students are taught in an entertaining and engaging way about the nuances of running a global business. As CEOs, the student teams operate their own virtual business and compete against each other. The success or failure of their company depends on six key economic decisions: price, production levels, marketing expenses, R&D, capital investment, and charitable giving. Each round of the competition simulates a business quarter in which the students make decisions which result in a performance index (PI) which measures retained earnings, supply and demand, productivity, market share, and growth. The teams with the highest PI win at the end of the game are declared the winner.
