Rick K. 17, will start his senior year at Maumee Valley Country Day School on Tuesday. How did he spend his summer vacation?
He raised nearly $3,400 for Mobile Meals to help feed hungry children in Toledo.
His mother, Melissa, has been a volunteer driver with Mobile Meals — delivering nutritious lunches to those who are home-bound — for “about a year,” she said. This is when her son first became keenly aware that many people in Toledo don’t have enough to eat.
Maumee Valley Country Day School is the only PreK-12th grade accredited, co-educational, and independent school in Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan.
