MVCDS to Host a Black History Month Dinner February 27, 2017

Each year the African American Club at Maumee Valley holds a Black History Month dinner to celebrate African American culture. The main goal for this gathering is to come together as a community and discuss important topics in society today. In previous years these discussions have been conducive to bringing together people from different backgrounds and creating a space for conversation.
On February 27 from 6-8pm, Afro-Am Club will continue their annual tradition. There will be a panel of respected community members answering questions on “Justice”, this year’s theme. The night will start off with food and entertainment and after that the introduction of panelists:
Angelita Cruz Bridges - Assistant United States Attorney
Roger Perry - Prison Psychiatrist
Vallie Bowman-English - Clerk of the Toledo Municipal Court
Daniel Brandon - Police Officer

The audience is encouraged to add their thoughts to the conversation. The general public is invited to this event, and for a fee of $5, participate in the dinner and the discussion.
