  • Extracurriculars Reflect Student Interests

    Getting Involved in Middle School
Middle School is an ideal time for students to explore and expand upon their individual interests. We recognize that our student body is a melting pot of backgrounds, strengths, and creative abilities.
We aim to help students hone their passions and serve as facilitators for their imaginations.

The majority of our clubs are student-proposed, so they serve as an accurate reflection of our Middle Schoolers. If a student has a particular interest or skill that isn't served by a current club, they can work with an advisor to create one. Depending on the nature of the club, students and teachers meet during lunch, free time, or after school.

A few of our clubs are staples to the Middle School; however, due to the fluctuating nature of student interest and leadership, clubs may not be the same from year to year. Some of our short-term clubs have included screenwriting, zombie apocalypse, mythology, and flag football.

  • Robotics

Middle School students are part of the Robotics team that competes annually in Fargo, North Dakota. Students design and promote their own robot that has to perform a predetermined task.
  • Student Council

Leadership is an important skill we try to hone in students throughout their time at Maumee Valley. As such, student council members work together to make the Middle School a more engaging and fun environment for everyone. Tasks include putting on social events and suggesting new ideas based on peer demand. They also hold votes, generate discussion among students, and work with advisors to plan events.

    Middle School Athletics Program
Our Middle School Athletic Program focuses on the participation and development of our student-athletes. We believe that Middle School athletic opportunities help supplement the great education our students receive in the classroom. Our coaches work to build team-work, sound scheme, strategy, and skill but also work to develop real-life tools through sport, that our student-athletes can take with them as they move beyond the walls of the Middle School.

Middle School students can participate in:
Fall Sports: Cross Country, Soccer and Field Hockey
Winter Sports: Basketball
Spring Sports: Track and Field

For a full schedule of upcoming Middle School athletics visit the athletics calendar.
