My experience in the Upper School prepared me so well for college that I became the person in the dorm who students came to for help writing term papers and studying for tests.
~Paige Willey '12, Swarthmore College

Imagine conducting post-graduate level research on rare forms of cancer or traveling to Cuba to explore the concept of justice.

Imagine writing, directing, and starring in your own theatre production in front of a packed house of family and friends, or living with a host family and attending school in Ecuador.

Imagine frequent classroom debates and discussions and frequent assemblies where everyone comes together to celebrate successes.

Imagine an average class size of 14 and lockers that don’t have locks because the community is built on a foundation of respect and trust.

It is easy to identify a Maumee Valley student. They are independent and curious. They are actively engaged in their learning. They can be found throughout the Upper School studying, researching, or receiving extra help from faculty and peers. Maumee Valley students love to learn, and that is evident in everything they do. In preparation for college and beyond, the curriculum places special emphasis on:
