Maumee Valley is Family

At Maumee Valley, everyone is so much more than just a member - they are family. As soon as you step into our halls, you become a part of a network of children and adults from all walks of life that add their own special contributions to our community. To us, relationships don’t end at graduation or retirement - they last for years. We make it a point to bring together our members new and old several times during the year.
Walk the halls of Maumee Valley Country Day School and you will see the reach of community involvement, from grandparents reading to children in the classrooms, to parents leading special day activities, to alumni singing at our Thanksgiving gathering. Our community encompasses our students, parents, alumni, faculty, local community members in the Greater Toledo Area, and more. We truly value those who come through our halls and strive to make connections with them that will last for many years to come. We invite you to become a member of the Maumee Valley community and volunteer your time and talents with our students.

Our Alumni are Involved

Alumni remain a part of the family long after they have graduated our halls. We have very close-knit ties with them and always hear from them….Learn more about how our alumni are involved.

  • Concerts & Showcases

Every few months, students across all our divisions are showcasing their accomplishments in the Fine Arts. Theater, art, and music come to life on the stage as students perform for their families, friends, and fellow students.
  • Get-Back Day

Our annual Thanksgiving Get-Back Day is one of the highlights of the year, as we invite our entire 500+ community to join us in the Resource Center to sing songs and share thanks. At the end, all of our older students come together to form a human arch, and everyone passes through. Thanksgiving is a time for us to reflect on what we have, both as individuals, and as a school.
  • Grandparents & Special Friends Day

Each year Maumee Valley invites the grandparents and special friends of our students to attend an entire day at school with them. Throughout the day, they attend classes, participate in discussions, and share their own personal insight. A special lunch is served, and the Lower and Upper School Vocal Ensembles gather in the Millenium Theater to perform songs. Grandparent’s and Special Friends day is a time for us to see our community as one family unit made up of several smaller ones.
