  • Randy Samborn ’75

In February, Randy Samborn will begin a new job as Senior Vice President at Levick Strategic Communications, LLC in Chicago. Samborn served with distinction as an Assistant US Attorney in Chicago and as the office's official spokesman. He notably served as spokesman to Patrick Fitzgerald, who was the federal prosecutor in charge of the investigation of the Valerie Plame Affair. This led to the prosecution and conviction in 2007 of Vice President Dick Cheney's Chief of Staff Scooter Libby for perjury. Randy’s new job will involve crisis response and communication with the media on behalf of litigators and their clients. After MVCDS, Randy attended Washington University in St. Louis and then University of Toledo College of Law. In addition to local jobs at the Toledo Blade and Lucas County Prosecutor’s Office he also served as the Chicago Bureau Chief of The National Law Journal prior to starting his twenty year career for the US Attorney's Office.
