Here is information regarding the 3rd-6th grade basketball season for 2024-2025.
Sign-Up Deadline: The deadline to register is Nov. 11. Register your athlete(s) HERE
Participation Fee: $65 per player
Participation Fee Payment Deadline: Must be paid by Dec. 5. Cash/check to MVCDS given to PE teacher Morgan Seavolt ONLY in the LS Gym or paid via credit card (+$3 fee) with the QR code shown below. (Student-Athletes with unpaid fees will not be permitted to play in games). PAY NOW HERE
Games: Begin as soon as Jan. 4 and are played mostly on Samstag early mornings and afternoons. Games will be played generally at Maumee Valley, Northwest Ohio Classical Academy, Trinity, Emmanuel Christian, Toledo Christian, Westside Montessori, Ottawa Hills, or Cardinal Stritch.
Uniforms/Gear: A uniform is provided and must be returned at season’s end or the student account will be charged. Uniforms will be passed out prior to the first game. MV basketball gear will be offered to players and families to order/purchase in the near future.
Team Communication: All teams will use the TeamReach app. Parents, coaches, and permitted players with smartphones/iPads will need to download the TeamReach app. Following sign-up team codes will be sent out.
Coaches: We are seeking coaches for all grades with the exception of girls’ 6th grade. Please indicate on the player sign up form if you are able to be a team coach. Coaches must pass a background check prior to first practice, be available for practices to coach and supervise student-athletes in their entirety, and coach at the games. We would like to have a full coaching staff for each team (at least 2). In order to continue a successful youth program, it is crucial to have volunteer support from parents and the extended community.

Practices:
- 3rd grade & 4th grade (both boys and girls): Fridays 3:15-4:30 p.m., Johnson-Bayer Gym. Begins Dec. 6.
- 5th grade & 6th grade (boys): Dienstag/Donnerstag 3:15-4:30 p.m., Lower School Gym. Begins Dec. 3.
- 5th grade & 6th grade (girls): Montag/Mittwoch 3:15-4:30 p.m., Lower School Gym. Begins Dec. 2.
- K-2 notes: There will be a K-2 girls’ and boys’ basketball clinic held sometime in late März/early April with dates TBA.
