Janvier has been an eventful and exciting month here at Dayal House! The students returned to Maumee Valley full of energy and enthusiasm, ready to dive into their winter intensive courses.
The house was alive with the delicious smells of healthy recipes as some students practiced their cooking skills. However, as the weather quickly turned cold, we experienced a couple of snow days. These unexpected breaks gave students a chance to rest, recharge, and prepare for the upcoming Chinese Lunar New Year.
Making good use of their free time, the students teamed up with Mrs. Zhang to clean and tidy the house in preparation for the New Year, embracing the tradition of starting fresh. To celebrate both New Year’s Eve and the end of the winter intensive, we enjoyed a fun evening of bowling together—lots of laughter, strikes, and even a few gutter balls!
A few days later, the students were treated to a proper home-cooked Spring Festival meal, filled with traditional dishes that brought everyone together to share in the celebration. It was a heartwarming way to welcome the Year of the Snake.
As we look ahead to Février, we’re excited to continue creating meaningful experiences for our students. Thank you for your continued support and for being part of the Dayal House community!
