Junior Wins Essay Contest

Congratulations to Zane Reeves '21 who won the first place scholarship prize in the 2020 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day Essay Contest put on by the city of Toledo. As a recipient, he was invited to participate in the 2020 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day Unity Celebrations.
He will be recognized at both celebrations, the first on Friday, January 17, 2020, at 12:30 p.m. at Scott High School and the second on Monday, January 20, 2020, at 9 a.m. at Savage Arena at the University of Toledo. He was invited to recite a few lines from his essay at both events.
The Mayor’s Assistant, Ally Zmuda wrote to Zane, “Congratulations on your powerful essay. We are thrilled to present you with this scholarship as it was well deserved.”
Maumee Valley Country Day School is the only age 3 - 12th grade accredited, co-educational, independent school in Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan.
