Arthur Chen '22 earns praise for study of cancer proteins

Chen studied recombinant cancer proteins during the six-week internship that allows students to experience research in chemical sciences and nurture their interest in science and math. 
Arthur Chen '22 completed a summer internship through the chemistry department at Bowling Green State University and won the praise of his supervisor for his work. 

Chen presented his study as the culmination of the Parents Involvement with Children Nurturing Intellectual Curiosity in Science (PICNICS) on Aug. 13.  

The program at BGSU allows students to experience research in chemical sciences and nurture their interest in science and math. 

Chen studied recombinant cancer proteins during the six-week internship.

Bowling Green State University Assistant Professor Dr. Xiaohong Tan praised Chen's work and was willing to write a recommendation letter for his college application. Chen plans to apply to Cornell University.
