The Admission Process

Admission to Maumee Valley Country Day School is selective, however we work with families through a personalized process to evaluate if our school is the right fit for each student. We welcome talented, mission appropriate, and diverse groups of students to the Maumee Valley community.

The admission process must be completed for the Admission Committee to review an application. Maumee Valley takes very seriously the responsibility of working with prospective families and making an admission decision that is in the best interest of the applicant and the school.

Steps to Apply to MVCDS

  • Early Learning Center (24 months - Kindergarten)

    All families should complete the Application form and submit the Application Fee ($50 for domestic applicants; $150 for international applicants). Students applying for grades 7-12 are required to fill out the Student Information Sheet.
  • Lower School (Grades 1-6)

    Step 1: Complete our online application
    All families should complete the online application form and submit the application fee of $50.00.

    Step 2: Request School Records & Teacher Recommendations
    The admission process requires copies of the academic records and teacher recommendation(s) for each applicant. A member of the admission team will provide you the forms and information needed to obtain these documents.

    Step 3: Campus Visit
    Applicants will join us as a “Hawk for a Day”. During their visit, students will participate in classes, spend time with peers and experience what it is like to be a Maumee Valley student.

    Step 4: Admission Testing
    Maumee Valley requires an admission test for all applicants.

    Grade 1-4: applicants are evaluated during their visit day

    Grade 5: applicants have separately scheduled admission assessments

    Grade 6: Testing dates are scheduled on a Saturday in December and February.
    • Additional test dates will be offered for those that apply after these dates and will be scheduled with the Admission team.
    There is no additional fee for admission testing. Students must register with the Admission Office before the testing date.
  • Middle School (Grades 7 & 8)

    Step 1: Complete our online application
    All families should complete the online application form and submit the application fee of $50.00.
