Summer English Program 2018

The Maumee Valley Summer English Program (ESL) offers varied levels of English language instruction, exciting hands-on classes, and athletic and cultural activities. Day and overnight trips are featured on the weekends. Small class sizes, cultural immersion, and a safe and comfortable learning environment are all features of the summer experience.

Located on 75 wooded acres in the Great Lakes region, Maumee Valley is close to Detroit International Airport and major cities including Chicago, Cleveland, Detroit, and Toronto. The school’s campus, which has wireless internet throughout, features a brand new residence hall, athletic fields and tennis courts, three gymnasiums and a fitness center. An $11 million high school building, which opened in 2011, features state-of-the-art classrooms and study spaces.

Tuition includes transportation to and from the Detroit airport, meals, boarding in a double room (single rooms available for $500 additional), bedding and towels, health insurance, instruction from certified teachers, books, supplies, and all activities.

The Maumee Valley Summer English Program acclimates students to the culture of the USA, Toledo, and Maumee Valley Country Day School.  Cultural experiences help students interact with English-speakers in real world situations.  These experiences help students develop their language skills and provide opportunities to practice with Maumee Valley students, teachers, and members of the community.  Maumee Valley is dedicated to engaging students in a variety of fun and diverse activities.
