The Alumni Council welcomes the participation of fellow classmates in the life of the school, as Maumee Valley Alumni provide an invaluable bridge between our school's past to its future. It is gratifying to contribute to the overall well-being of our beloved educational institution, as it is always a pleasure to return to the place that defines our beginnings.

There are so many ways for Alumni to reconnect with our school. Maumee Valley hosts a number of Alumni Events on campus throughout the year: Homecoming Weekend in September, "Get Back Give Back Day" during the week of Thanksgiving, a Holiday Party at year-end, the Smead Luncheon in May, and an Alumni Reunion Weekend in July. Additionally, we host regional gatherings in major cities across the United States including D.C., New York, Boston, Philadelphia, Baltimore, Chicago, Columbus, Cleveland, Cincinnati, Denver, Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and San Diego.

If you have not had the opportunity to visit campus in the last year, I urge you to stop by Maumee Valley for a visit. The Alumni Office would be glad to meet with you and provide you with a tour of the school. Please contact our Alumni Office for more information at 419-381-1313x112 or wstoddard@mvcds.org.

Sincerely,
The Alumni Council

MVCDS Alumni Association Mission

The mission of the Maumee Valley Country Day School Alumni Association is to maintain and promote lasting and meaningful connections from the school to its alumni, and from alumni to alumni. The Association recognizes that alumni are a vital part of the greater Maumee Valley community, and that they play an essential role in support of the mission of the Maumee Valley Country Day School.

The Role of an Alumni Council Member

  • Each Council Member must contribute to the Annual Fund every year of his/her term and encourage their alumni peers to do the same.
  • The Council should represent a wide range of alumni class years, regions, cultural backgrounds, and professional backgrounds.
  • Members are nominated by one of more of the following: council members, Head of School, Advancement Director, and Alumni Relations Director. Other members of Maumee Valley’s community can submit names to the council for consideration and official nomination. New nominees are presented and voted on by the Alumni Association at the Annual Smead Luncheon.
  • Each member agrees to serve an initial 3-year term on the Alumni Council and can serve up to 2 consecutive renewal terms of 2 years a piece.
