Maumee Valley Country Day School Announces Stephen Bennett Exhibition and Live Artist Demonstrations

Maumee Valley Country Day School is proud to welcome internationally renowned portrait painter, Stephen Bennett to campus December 1 – 18, 2015.

An exhibition of Mr. Bennett’s work, including portrait paintings from Papua New Guinea, China, Tibet, Mongolia, Ethiopia, and Uganda will be on display at Maumee Valley’s Kasperzack Center.

This is Bennett’s sixth visit to MVCDS. While visiting this December, Mr. Bennett will offer portrait painting commissions of children, adults, horses, and pets. Students at Maumee Valley will participate in portrait painting workshops with Mr. Bennett and he will work from the campus of Maumee Valley Country Day School. Live artist demonstrations will be available for the public throughout his campus visit.

Stephen Bennett’s portraits are best known featured on bottles of Nika Water, and his world portraits were chosen by the United Nations Postal Administration in 2009, 2010, and 2012 for a stamp series. The stamps were issued in three countries and three languages at the United Nations Headquarter offices in Austria, Switzerland, and the United States. Mr. Bennett recently completed a portrait for Triple Crown Winner Victor Espinoza.
