Congratulations to MVCDS senior, Julia Xiong, who will join the “best of the best” for the National Association for Music Education’s (NAfME) 2018 All-National Honor Ensembles November 25-28, 2018, at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort at Walt Disney World in Orlando, FL. Julia was accepted into the first violin section of the All-National Symphony Orchestra. Eligible students qualified nationwide for their state-level honor ensemble program and competed against top students for a spot in this national honor ensemble. Selected students will be rehearsing a challenging repertoire in preparation for a performance under the baton of Dr. Jean Montès. The Symphony Orchestra Concert begins at 10:00AM, November 28, in the ballroom at Disney Coronado Springs Resort. The cost of admission is $10 per person. Tickets will be available for purchase onsite.
