Maumee Valley Artists are Selected for Focus 2018 Art Exhibit

It has been a great year for Maumee Valley Country Day School artists at the 2018 Focus Art Exhibition, held at the University of Toledo Center for the Visual Arts. Seven student artworks have been selected for this show. Out of over 1000 works, 180 were selected from high school students from NW Ohio and SE Michigan from the 2017-2018 school year.

Hanyany Song's photograph  "Bulb", was created in the Physics and Photography intensive. It received a "Jurors Award", one of the top awards of the exhibition. Sasha Grivenich had three pieces selected and her drawing "Pomegranate" is receiving the "Head of School Award".

Ben Wielgopolski, Emily Rigby and Hanna Okada also have works on display.

The show will be on display at the University of Toledo CVA gallery at the Toledo Museum of Arts, from November 13th-December 14th. The opening reception and awards is Thursday November 15th from 5:30-7:00, in the Little Theatre.
