Senior Wins in Architecture Design Competition

Congratulations to Caiden Lambert-Lyons, who recently competed in the AIA (American Institute of Architects) Toledo High School Design Competition and won two prizes for design. Many of the competing schools have classes and advanced equipment. Caiden worked on his computer after school, with the advice of local architect Scot Rossi. He won First Place in the BGSU Digital Media Competition and Second Place in the GBA Lighting Design Competition.
The project was to design for the Lucas County Canine Care & Control. For the first time in 70 years, the HSDC High School Design Competition AIA Toledo Awards Ceremony, held May 21, 2020, was virtual.

Judges’ comments were: “An elegant, well-designed project. It is enhanced by wonderful graphics that take the viewer through a journey one can readily comprehend. Graphically the board layout, like the design itself, has integrity with clear, strong intentions.”
