MVCDS Art Instructor Kristin Kowalski's ceramic sculptures available in Toledo Museum of Art store

Six different pieces are featured as part of the museum's "Collector's Corner."
We'd like to congratulate Middle School and Upper School Art Teacher Kristin Kowalski for having her artwork for sale as part of the Toledo Museum of Art's "Collector's Corner."

"My work has been inspired by personal growth and development. I want to create a feeling of intimacy between the interactions of the abstracted forms," Kowalski said in a news release from the museum. "Those experiences lead to a floral or blossom element that represents the peak of the experience."

Her sculptures are hand-built and low-fired while using multiple layers of glaze and stain to exhibit texture and depth in color, according to The Museum Store's website.

Kowalski has taught at MVCDS since 2012.
