MVCDS Playing an Ohio High School Athletic Association Foundation Game for Charity.

Friday, December 2, 2016, MVCDS, along with Monclova Christian, is putting on an OHSAA Foundation Game, which is an exhibition basketball game for charity and is played to promote service in Ohio High School Athletics.
OHSAA Member schools, electing to participate, are permitted to use one of their five allotted scrimmages to play a regulation game under all normal game conditions. These Foundation Games do not count against a team’s record. Through this initiative, Ohio student-athletes have generated in excess of $500,000 for charitable organizations and causes across the state, and collected food, clothing and other items for those in need.

Maumee Valley Country Day School’s Foundation game is a joint service project with Monclova Christian. All proceeds from the game will go to support Mobile Meals of Toledo, which is an organization MVCDS Senior Rick Kaser has done tremendous work for.

Non perishable food items will also be collected at the admission table and will be donated to a local food bank.
