Treffen Sie Lynn Casto

Lynn D. Casto wurde im Oktober 2017 mit Wirkung vom 1. Juli 2018 zur Schulleiterin ernannt.

Sie kam von der Sanford School in Hockessin, DE, zu Maumee Valley, wo sie seit 2013 als Oberstufenleiterin tätig war.

Sie brachte einen beeindruckenden Hintergrund in der unabhängigen Schulbildung mit nach Maumee Valley. Sie besuchte die Columbus (OH) School for Girls und entdeckte eine doppelte Liebe zur Leichtathletik und zur Kunst. Am Davidson College (NC) erwarb sie einen Bachelor of Arts in Kunstgeschichte und spielte gleichzeitig Lacrosse in der NCAA Division I. Anschließend erwarb sie zwei Master-Abschlüsse in Pädagogik: einen in Kunsterziehung an der Ohio State University (wo sie auch Mitglied der Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society war) und den anderen in Privatschulführung am Klingenstein Center am Teachers College der Columbia University.

Bevor sie nach Sanford kam, war sie 13 Jahre lang als Lehrkraft und Führungskraft an der Charlotte Country Day School (NC) tätig. Von 2007 bis 2013 war sie außerdem Leiterin der Abteilung für Bildende Kunst der Schule. Sie begann ihre Lehrtätigkeit an der Brookwood School (GA), wo sie als Kunstlehrerin für die Mittel- und Oberstufe tätig war und außerdem AP Studio und AP Art History unterrichtete. Außerdem war sie Trainerin von Softball- und Fußballmannschaften.

She was recently appointed to the 20-person Heads Circle, a new think tank created by Independent School Management to help independent schools around the country become more effective and sustainable. She is also a member of the Ohio Association of Independent Schools Board of Trustees.
