Lynn D. Casto a été nommée chef d'établissement en octobre 2017, avec effet au 1er juillet 2018.
Elle a rejoint Maumee Valley après avoir travaillé à l'école Sanford de Hockessin (DE), où elle occupait le poste de directrice de l'école supérieure depuis 2013.
Elle a apporté à Maumee Valley une expérience impressionnante en matière d'enseignement dans des écoles indépendantes. Elle a fréquenté l'école pour filles de Columbus (OH), où elle s'est découvert une double passion pour l'athlétisme et les arts. Au Davidson College (NC), elle a obtenu une licence d'histoire de l'art tout en jouant à la crosse dans la division I de la NCAA. Elle a ensuite obtenu deux maîtrises en éducation : l'une en éducation artistique à l'Ohio State University (où elle était également membre de la Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society) et l'autre en direction d'écoles privées au Klingenstein Center du Teachers College de l'université de Columbia.
Avant de rejoindre Sanford, elle a exercé des fonctions d'enseignement et de direction à la Charlotte Country Day School (NC) pendant 13 ans. Elle a également dirigé le département des beaux-arts de l'école de 2007 à 2013. Elle a commencé sa carrière d'enseignante à la Brookwood School (GA), où elle a été professeur d'art au collège et au lycée, tout en enseignant l'AP Studio et l'AP Art History. Elle a également entraîné des équipes de softball et de football.
She was recently appointed to the 20-person Heads Circle, a new think tank created by Independent School Management to help independent schools around the country become more effective and sustainable. She is also a member of the Ohio Association of Independent Schools Board of Trustees.
