Each day students sign into their classroom, noting if they have packed their lunch or are buying lunch. Students buying lunch get a plated lunch delivered to the Early Learning Center. The charges for the month are totaled, and the amount due is charged to the student billing account. You will receive a paper statement in the mail monthly showing the lunch charges, and it will display on your statements as “Preschool Lunches.”
Students can pay cash for lunch and snacks as they checkout with their purchases in the dining room. They are also able to purchase lunches and snacks and charge their Maumee Valley student billing account. All students are predefined in the lunch program. Your student will be assigned a pin code to enter on a keypad when checking out. Students that have not used their lunch account previously, or students new to Maumee Valley, will be given their pin code at their first checkout. Don’t worry if your student does not have their pin code yet, or has forgotten their pin code. The lunch team can (and often does) look students up by the last name at checkout, and will share the student pin code after they look the student up. The lunch team is happy to remind the students of their pin code as often as needed.
Purchases are tracked by student, but the funding is done by family (so families don’t incur several $100 funding expenses at one time). The funded balance will be reduced with each purchase that is made. Anytime the funded balance drops below $15, the account is funded with an additional $100. Students new to Maumee Valley, or students who have not previously used their lunch account, will receive their first $100 funding at the time of the first purchase.
The $100 funding amounts are charged to the student billing account. You will receive a paper statement in the mail monthly showing the $100 funded amounts, and it will display on your statements as “Prepaid Lunch.” This statement will also show all student activity, including tuition, after school care charges, etc.
Maumee Valley Country Day School is the only age 3 - 12th grade accredited, co-educational, independent school in Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan.
