Students tour colleges as part of spring break

Led by the Upper School's college counseling department and the school's alumni relations, a group of MV students toured nine colleges and universities throughout the Midwest during spring break.
The visits across March 18-22 included presentations from admissions representatives, tours of academic facilities and student union buildings, observations of classes in session, visits to dorms and libraries, walks through athletic facilities, and lunch in impressive dining halls.

The campus visits also included in-depth conversations about student support and academic support services, financial aid, internships, mentoring programs. Students also spoke with MV alumni who lived locally and/or attended the academic institutions visited.

Among the tour's most memorable moments were the daily debrief sessions conducted with the 14 MV students. These conversations created genuine moments of bonding and revealed students’ perspectives about the college experience and their opinions regarding the institutions visited.
