Maumee Valley welcomes Amy Yustick as director of strategy and advancement

Maumee Valley Country Day School is delighted to announce the appointment of Amy Yustick as its new director of strategy and advancement. With a wealth of experience in finance and strategy positions, coupled with her deep ties to the school community as a parent of alumni and a current junior, she brings a unique blend of expertise and passion to this vital role.
Mrs. Yustick joins Maumee Valley with an extensive background in finance and strategic planning, having held prominent positions with multiple companies in the automotive industry, including Dana Inc., Ford Motor Co. and Bosch. Her proven track record of developing and implementing successful strategies will be instrumental in advancing Maumee Valley’s mission and ensuring its continued growth and success.

“As a parent, I’ve witnessed firsthand the transformative power of education at Maumee Valley,” she said. “I am thrilled to have the opportunity to contribute to its continued excellence and to work alongside such dedicated educators, students, and families.” She and husband Robert have sent their three children — Bryce ’20, Paige ’23, and Blake ’25 — to Maumee Valley.

In her new role, she is responsible for spearheading strategic initiatives to enhance the school’s overall performance and sustainability, with an emphasis on the marketing, advancement, and admission functions. Additionally, she will lead efforts in fundraising, alumni relations, and community engagement to further strengthen Maumee Valley’s impact both locally and beyond.

“We are thrilled to have Amy join us as our new director of strategy and advancement,” said Lynn Casto, head of school at Maumee Valley. “Her wealth of experience, coupled with her deep connection to our school community, make her the ideal candidate to lead our strategic efforts and drive our advancement initiatives forward.”

Mrs. Yustick rejoined the school’s Board of Trustees last year after serving nine years from 2013-2022. In accepting the position, she is resigning as the board’s treasurer. She also has served on the board of trustees of the Dana Foundation and as a volunteer with the Bullmastiff Rescuers Inc.

She earned a bachelor of arts in economics and history of art from the University of Michigan and an MBA in finance from the Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business at The University of Pittsburgh.
