Organized annually by the Athena Art Society, Inc., the exhibit features more than 60 works of art from 25 Toledo-area women artists. It opens Monday in the Wolfe Gallery and is open to the public through Dec. 1.
The show was juried and curated by Kristin Kowalski, an Upper School art teacher at Maumee Valley. Assisting her was Lou Ann Glover, the art teacher for Maumee Valley’s Lower and Middle Schools. Maumee Valley also hosted the exhibition in 2007 and 2016.
The artist reception is Friday, Nov. 4, from 5:30-7 p.m. Guests wishing to visit the exhibition need to check in at Door 1 on the MV campus and receive a visitor’s badge.
“We are very excited to host and present such a wonderful array of pieces by women artists of Toledo,” Mrs. Kowalski said. “Almost every medium is represented, from acrylic and photography to water color and ceramics. The subjects are fascinating and the execution is stunning.”
Best of show winners will be announced at the reception.
